How It All Started
In 2016, I took the first real step toward making that dream happen. I purchased a trailer with the intention of turning it into my mobile salon. The problem was, I didn’t have the right truck to pull it..and I couldn’t afford to purchase a bigger truck at the time. Instead of letting that stop me, I changed the plan. I purchased a school bus, sold the trailer, and decided to build my vision around the bus.
I’ve been in cosmetology for over 20 years, but the idea behind Beauty Buses started long before there was ever a bus. When I was 17, my dad wanted to get me a salon. I turned it down because I already knew I didn’t want to be stationary. I told him that one day, I was going to have a mobile salon instead. Even back then, I knew I wanted the freedom to take my work beyond the four walls of a traditional salon.
